Believe

I was snowed in all weekend.  I couldn't even get the car off the drive because there was a huge pile of snow behind it.  I thought it would be a good opportunity to make some cards, but I couldn't get motivated.  I think it was because I was fed up because I couldn't go anywhere.  I was also anxious for my daughter who was moving house in that terrible weather.  I felt so sorry for her.  They are safely in their new home now, but now have the unenviable task of all the unpacking!  I hope they will be happy in their new home, I cant wait to go and see them all.  However, yesterday I decided to dig my car out.  Armed with shovels and a broom, and ice grippers on my shoes I went out and did it. The snow was frozen solid, but I just cut it into blocks and threw them on to the garden out of the way.  I quite enjoyed it in the end and it was good exercise. Hooray, I can now get off the drive, so I am going out with friends today.
When I came in I felt like making a card.  So I decided to have a go at the CAS colour challenge of  real red, soft suede and river rock.  I only had the real red ink pad and I couldn't find any other inks that were near the other two colours, but I did have the Neutrals card pack, so I thought I would use the soft suede and river rock card, get my Cuttlebug and punches out and make a card using them.  Here it is.

Everything is from Stampin' Up.  I have used the Language of Love stamp set for the bird and the flowers and the Bird Builder and Boho Blossoms punches to punch them out.  The greeting is from the Just Believe set and the background is a Spellbinder die. The base card is Naturals Ivory, which is an off white colour with little flecks in it. Its lovely card.
I hope you all have a nice day even if you are snowed in.  Surely it will get warmer soon!!!!
